Design Residential Water Main
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am ready to move ahead with the full design-and-build of a new PVC water main serving 20 residential plots on our development site off Bellswood Lane. The route runs entirely through soft soil, and each plot will need variable pressure so that owners can install everything from standard taps to high-flow garden systems without retrofitting pumps later.
Here is what I need from you:
• Detailed hydraulic sizing and layout drawings (AutoCAD / Civil 3D or similar) showing pipe runs, valves, hydrants, and individual plot branches.
• Pressure-zone modelling (EPANET or equivalent) that demonstrates reliable variable pressure across all 20 plots when tied into the municipal feed.
• Trench, bedding, and backfill specifications tailored to our soft-soil conditions, including any geotextile or de-watering recommendations.
• Full materials schedule for PVC pipe, fittings, isolation valves, meters, and frost protection kits.
• Installation plan covering excavation, pipe laying, pressure testing, chlorination, tie-in, and final commissioning.
• As-built documentation and test certificates on completion.
Acceptance criteria: approved hydraulic report, permits cleared, pressure tests meeting local code, and all plots achieving the variable pressure range agreed in design.
I will supply the latest topographic survey and municipal connection details once we start. If you have recent experience delivering PVC mains in similar ground conditions, I look forward to seeing how you would approach this so we can break ground quickly.
