Coastal Fencing Engineering Design Needed
Budget: £750 – £1,500 GBP
I am in need of an experienced engineer who can design the foundations for our fencing project. The fence will extend to approximately 150 meters and will include 4 swing gates. This project has three main areas:
Design of Foundations:
• The fencing is expected to rise to 2.4 meters in height. The design should be robust to support it.
• The fence will be steel framed with alternating vertical timber slats.
• The engineering design should take into account the clay nature of the soil.
Steel Specification:
• As part of the design process, I need you to verify the size of the steel required for the frame to ensure it will provide the sturdy security barrier we need.
Location Considerations:
• The location is coastal, meaning the design should accommodate potential environmental factors such as high winds or corrosion.
Ideal candidates will have direct experience in engineering fencing designs, specifically with steel and timber materials, experience in dealing with clay soil foundations, as well as swing gate designs. Having knowledge of designing structures for coastal locations would also be advantageous.
