Civil 3D Survey Template Creation
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need to modernise my AutoCAD Civil 3D survey template so I can print confidently in more than one size without rebuilding a title block every time. The core layouts have to cover 11 x 17 in (ANSI B/Tabloid) and 18 x 24 in (ARCH C) in both landscape and portrait, with smart scaling already wired into the viewports. If you have an efficient way to add 8.5 x 11 in or 24 x 36 in without bloating the file, that would be a bonus.
Each sheet must include a title block whose attributes are driven by a single prompt or dialog—enter the details once and they populate everywhere. The fields are: Project #, Drawn by, Address, Lot, Block, Date, plus room for any extra project-specific note I might add later. Whether you build this with block attributes, Sheet Set Manager fields, or another clean method is up to you, so long as I can update the data quickly.
Deliverables
• One Civil 3D .dwt (or a clearly organised set of .dwt files) with pre-built paper-space layouts for each required size and orientation
• Title blocks with dynamic attribute fields ready to edit from a single interface
• A short PDF or screencast showing how to load the template and change the project information
The goal is to streamline plotting and eliminate repetitive title block edits, so clarity and ease of use are more important than elaborate graphics.
I have the title blocks in model space needed, just need to implement them into the templates.
