Civil Engineer Needed for Residential Project in Fremont, CA
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
SCOPE OF WORK:
- Review/revise existing drainage system (and re-grading if deemed necessary) of the in-scope area
- Prepare civil engineering drawings for the above design to support permit application
- Coordinate with landscape architect, geotech engineer (retained) and potentially/if needed, the civil works done by the contractors in other areas of the backyard.
Please refer to the attached doc. There are two drawings:
- Top drawing is the topo.
- The bottom drawing is the conceptual design from my landscape architect that I overlay with some color shaded areas. COLOR SHADED AREAS ARE THE IN-SCOPE AREA.
Comparing the top drawing and bottom drawing:
- Green: Current: Open soil with some plants; Future: Will remain mostly open soil
- Blue: Current: Pavers; Future: Trex deck
- Peach (backyard): Current: A mix of pavers, compacted sands & open soil; Future: Likely pavers / slabs
- Peach (frontyard): Current: Mostly pavers (except the cross driveway); Future: Pavers
- Purple (frontyard): Current: Open soil with some plants; Future: Will remain open soil
- Red lines: Existing stitch-pier w/ tiebacks retaining wall
Additional information:
- Non color shaded areas experienced landslide and will be fixed in its entirety by my geotech + construction company who will supply structural + civil engineer.
- The color shaded areas are the scoped area of this quote and have been stable with existing drainage and landscape (i.e. final architectural design will likely use similar elevation).
Timing: Start within 2 weeks.
