Recent construction next door altered the grading between our two Chicago lots and I am now seeing stormwater back-up and surface pooling that never existed before. I need an Illinois-licensed civil engineer to visit both parcels, identify exactly how the earthwork changed, and show me how to re-establish proper overland flow.

The focus is land-grading adjustments, but I am open to any drainage solutions you deem appropriate—whether that ends up being re-sloping, shallow swales, or a subsurface option such as a French drain. Your professional judgement will steer the choice.

After the site inspection I will need a concise, actionable package that I can hand to my contractor and, if necessary, the city permitting desk.
