Carport solar system structural analysis
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have a carport that I want to install solar on, but Tesla is requiring me to verify that it is structurally sound to support the weight of 3.5psf. Specifically they are concerned with the lateral support of the connection to the house since it is a single wall house so it is not tied into the house as is shown in the attached pictures. I would need verification that it is structurally sound to support the load or design upgrades needed to make it structurally sound.
