This project's purpose extends to not only fortify and improve the durability of RC and PT slabs strengthened by CFRP and Jacketing, but also to rigorously validate the efficiency of the applied numerical model with experimental data.
The project requirements are as follows:
- Proficiency with Abaqus software to run high-precision analysis on the structural integrity of the RC and PT slab.
- An understanding and ability to execute efficient numerical model validation methods.
- Experience and knowledge in interpreting load displacement curves, strain measurements, and failure modes will be fundamental as those are the verifying means of experimental data.
Ideally, previous experience with structural strengthening projects and a strong theoretical knowledge base will be best suited for this project. A solid grounding in numerical analysis and an eye for detail is a must, given the high precision demands.
