Remote Citrix Upgrade Administrator

I need an experienced L2/L3-level Citrix administrator who can take full ownership of system upgrades and patching for our Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment. The role is fully remote; I will provide secure access to the delivery controllers, VDAs and supporting infrastructure so you can work during mutually agreed maintenance windows.

Your main focus will be to keep the farm current and stable—planning each upgrade, backing up and snapshotting the environment, applying Citrix–recommended hotfixes, testing for regression, then handing it back to operations with clear rollback documentation. Because this is an active production environment, you must already be comfortable with version dependencies, Licensing Server compatibility, SQL mirror considerations and StoreFront/Delivery Controller coordination.

Deliverables I expect:
• A brief upgrade plan outlining prerequisites, sequence and estimated downtime
• Successful application of the target CU or hotfix set in a staged manner (pilot → full rollout)
• Post-upgrade validation report covering broker services, application launch, profile & printer redirection, and event logs
• A concise rollback procedure kept on file in case issues surface after go-live

You will collaborate with our internal help desk to schedule user communications, but direct end-user support is not part of this engagement. Please highlight previous Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops upgrade projects you have led, any automation you typically employ (PowerShell, Citrix Studio/Director scripting, PVS/MCS integration), and your usual approach to minimizing downtime.
