IP Tranport-Network Performance Optimization Specialist

Job Title: IP Transport Network Planning SME


Key Objective : To Plan, design and Optimize IP Transport Network and Services to ensure reliable connectivity including Capacity planning & Optimisation

Key Responsibility Areas

JOB ROLES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designing and Developing IP Transport Network including capacity planning, routing and Network architecture
- Optimise Network Capacity as per business need and ensuring QoS and availability
- Troubleshoot Network issues and developing solution to ensure Network stability
- Optimise Bandwidth allocation to reduce OPEX
- Documenting design specifications, configuration and Operational Procedure




DELIVERABLES / PERFORMANCE MEASURES (Goals and targets to be achieved, reporting etc.):

Perform IP Network Design, Planning, Optimisation to improve Network Performance and reduce OPEX
Competence

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Technical Skills : Strong understanding of IP Network protocols, Network infrastructure including CISCO, JUNIPER, CIENA, EXTREME NETWORKS Routers, Switches, firewalls etc

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze traffic patterns, forecast capacity needs, and identify areas for optimization. Ensure and manage the optimization of international and local Bandwidth distribution to save OPEX.

Problem Solving Skills : Ability to trouble shoot complex network issues and develop effective solution

Communication skill :Excellent communication skill in English both verbal and non-verbal to clearly communicate technical information to internal team and customer







EXPERIENCE (Recommended work experience for this position):

1. Minimum 8+ years experience in IP Transport Network Operation, Planning and Optimization
2. Some consultancy experience on IP Network Architecture and OPEX Optimisation
3. Must have CCNP, JNCP, CRCS Certification or Equivalent certification
