Aim of the project is to develop a spanning tree protocol through which undesirable loops in the network can be avoided by shutting down redundant links.
Objectives:
● To demonstrate the need for “redundancy” in the network, drawbacks introduced by redundancy and mechanisms to handle failure
● To understand the concepts of the broadcast storm and network loops
● To implement spanning tree protocol for preventing switching loops in the network.
