On-Site MikroTik & IoT Specialist
Budget: $60 – $100 USD
I operate a small but rapidly evolving facility and need someone to be on-site two days each week to keep our technology stack running smoothly. The core of the role is MikroTik work—configuring and setting up RouterOS devices, troubleshooting day-to-day glitches, and tightening network security so the routers, switches, and wireless links stay reliable.
Alongside that, our production line relies on a growing fleet of IoT sensors and controllers. You’ll integrate new devices, manage the network they ride on, and turn the data they generate into clear, actionable insights.
My immediate objective is maintenance: each visit should leave the existing systems healthy, patched, and documented. I value curiosity and a can-do attitude—there will always be something new to learn here, and I’m happy to give you the room and resources to dig in.
Typical weekly outcomes
• Any routing, Wi-Fi, or firewall issues diagnosed and fixed
• Firmware and RouterOS updates applied where needed
• New or replacement IoT devices brought online and verified
• A short status report summarising work done, data trends noticed, and anything that needs my attention
Work is strictly on-site, two weekdays, Tuesday and Friday, with remote follow-up allowed for minor tweaks. If you’re comfortable with WinBox, The Dude, MQTT or similar tools, and you enjoy solving real-world connectivity problems, we should be a great fit.
Microtik, Indigo BMS, Lutron, Mobotix, Barix
