Enterprise Network Design & Security Optimization

Job ID: 39791503

Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR

I need an experienced network engineer to take a fresh look at our enterprise infrastructure and tighten every layer, from topology to threat defense. The current environment supports roughly 300 users across several VLANs and remote offices; growth has exposed design gaps and inconsistent security policies that I want resolved before we scale any further.

The first priority is a clean, future-proof architecture. I’d like updated diagrams that show core, distribution and access layers, clear routing domains, and redundancy plans. While redesigning, please pay special attention to performance tuning—latency on our voice VLAN and sporadic jitter during peak hours must be eliminated.

I’m looking for:
Strong expertise in network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, BGP, and OSPF, along with a solid foundation in routing, switching, and core network security principles.

Proven experience configuring and managing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as working with operating systems such as Cisco IOS and platforms like Palo Alto Networks. Experience with firewall administration tools (e.g., Cisco ASA, Fortinet) is highly valued.

In-depth knowledge of network security concepts, including the implementation and management of firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and encryption technologies.

Routing and switching best practices—hierarchical addressing, dynamic routing protocols, port-security, STP optimization—also need verification and documentation so the operations team can manage day-to-day tasks with confidence.

Deliverables:
1. Revised network design document with diagrams (Visio or similar).
2. Configured and tested firewall, IDS/IPS, and VPN policies (exportable configs).
3. Performance optimization report outlining changes and before/after metrics.
4. Step-by-step maintenance guide covering routing, switching, and firewall upkeep.

If you have a solid track record with enterprise-class gear (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, etc.) and can present clear documentation alongside the technical work, let’s talk timelines and next steps.
