Project Overview

I am seeking an experienced Network Engineer Instructor to remotely guide me in setting up and troubleshooting complex network lab environments using EVE-NG. The focus will be on configuring Cisco Nexus 9000v switches and Juniper vSRX firewalls, and resolving interconnectivity issues, similar to recent scenarios involving L2/L3 connectivity failures and ARP resolution problems.
Key Responsibilities

Provide step-by-step guidance on configuring Cisco Nexus 9000v and Juniper vSRX within an EVE-NG environment.
Clearly explain key networking concepts involved in the labs, including but not limited to:
Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity principles and troubleshooting
ARP protocol mechanics and related issue diagnosis
VLAN configuration and Trunking
IP addressing and subnetting
Configuration and application of Routing Instances (VRF / Virtual Router)
Configuration of Juniper SRX Security Zones and Security Policies
Configuration and principles of Cisco HSRP (or VRRP)
Basic concepts and interface configuration (e.g., reth) of Juniper SRX Chassis Cluster
Teach systematic network troubleshooting methodologies, especially for connectivity issues in virtualized environments.
Instruct on how to interpret device logs, status command outputs (show commands), and debugging information (like SRX traceoptions) from Cisco NX-OS and Juniper Junos.
Explain efficient usage techniques for the EVE-NG platform, including node configuration, selection and impact of virtual NIC types (e.g., e1000, virtio-net-pci), virtual link management and troubleshooting, and use of built-in packet capture tools.
Skills and Experience Required

Core Device Expertise: Must possess deep practical experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco Nexus switches (NX-OS) and Juniper SRX firewalls (Junos).
Solid Networking Fundamentals: Proficient in the TCP/IP protocol suite, with an in-depth understanding of L2/L3 network protocols and concepts, including ARP, VLANs, IP Subnetting, Static Routing, OSPF/BGP (bonus), HSRP/VRRP, Firewall principles, NAT, etc.
Virtualization Platform Proficiency: Must have extensive experience using network virtualization platforms. EVE-NG (Community or Pro edition) is strongly preferred; familiarity with GNS3 is also acceptable.
Understanding of Virtualization Technology: Knowledge of QEMU/KVM virtualization technology, particularly the characteristics of different virtual NIC types (e.g., e1000, virtio-net-pci) in EVE-NG and their potential impact on interconnectivity.
Troubleshooting Prowess: Strong network diagnostic and problem-solving skills, especially adept at handling complex connectivity and protocol interaction issues within virtual lab environments.
Teaching and Communication: Excellent communication and teaching skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts and operational steps clearly and patiently to learners.
Remote Collaboration: Experience providing technical guidance or training remotely via remote desktop, video conferencing, etc.
Technical Environment and Version Requirements

The instructor needs to be familiar with or able to quickly adapt to the following specific technical environment:
Network Emulation Platform: EVE-NG (Any version, but familiarity with its basic operations and features is required)
Cisco Device Image: Cisco Nexus 9000v (Must be familiar with the 9.2.x version series, e.g., nxosv9k-9.2.2)
Juniper Device Image: Juniper vSRX Next Generation Firewall (Must be familiar with the 20.3R1.x version series, e.g., vsrxng-20.3R1.8)
Virtualization: QEMU/KVM (as applied within the EVE-NG environment)
Ideal Candidate (Bonus Points)

Holds valid Cisco (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) or Juniper (e.g., JNCIP, JNCIE) professional certifications.
Has practical experience in network teaching, corporate training, or online tutoring.
Can provide structured learning plans and lab guide documentation.
