Room Outlet Upgrade to 30 Amp
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a licensed electrician to boost the capacity of one of my rooms so it can safely run high-energy appliances. Right now the space is wired with standard 15 A receptacles; two of those specific outlets have to be replaced with either 20 A or 25 A versions, depending on what the panel and wire gauge will allow. In addition, I want a brand-new 25 A–30 A circuit brought into the same room, complete with its own breaker, receptacle, and all code-compliant wiring.
The job will involve:
• Assessing the existing panel to confirm it can accept the added load and breaker size.
• Running new wire (proper gauge) from the panel to the room, neatly fishing it through walls/ceiling.
• Swapping the two targeted 15 A receptacles for higher-rated ones and clearly labeling them.
• Installing and labeling the new 25 A–30 A outlet on its dedicated circuit.
• Verifying ground continuity, correct polarity, and breaker operation, then providing a brief test report.
I’ll be available to show you the panel layout and outlet locations, and I can move furniture ahead of time. All work must meet local code and pass inspection. Let me know your estimated timeline and any questions you have about access or materials.
