Radiomaster XR1 Clone Design
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I need a complete KiCad design that reproduces the functionality of the Radiomaster XR1 transmitter. Exact mechanical dimensions are not critical (although size should be minimal), but every feature the original offers must be present and proven to work over ELRS eg dual 2.4GHz / 868-915Mhz. Firmware and pinout could be compatible with the Radiomaster firmware for simplicity.
The job covers the full hardware cycle: schematic capture, PCB layout, manufacturing files, and a JLCPCB-ready BOM that relies solely on in-stock parts. With the exception of the required ESP devices, all active and passive components must be Western-sourced equivalents that JLCPCB can place.
To confirm your suitability, please show photographs and a short write-up of at least one, preferably more previous ExpressLRS project you have taken to production. Designs that still sit in simulation or unassembled prototypes will not qualify.
Deliverables
• KiCad project folder (schematics, PCB, libraries)
• Fabrication package for JLCPCB (Gerbers, drill, pick-and-place, stencil data) including proper impedance matching
• BOM listing JLCPCB in-stock parts with LCSC codes and Western manufacturer part numbers
• Assembly drawing and PDF schematic for reference
• Brief bring-up guide covering bootloader flashing and ELRS binding tests
Acceptance will be based on DRC-clean files, a BOM fully orderable from JLCPCB today, and your supplied ELRS proof-of-experience.
