K2633 PCB Replica Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I want to put the VELLEMAN-KIT K2633 back into production, but the original PCB that shipped with the kit is long discontinued. I still have the full set of legacy design files and schematics; what I need now is a clean, up-to-date recreation of that exact board so I can send it straight to a modern fabricator.
The goal is fidelity, not improvement: preserve the original layout, footprint positions, track widths, hole sizes, silkscreen markings, and board outline exactly as they were. Component values, reference designators, and numbering must match the archive I will supply.
Deliverables
• Editable PCB design file in KiCad, Altium, or Eagle (your choice, as long as export to Gerber is loss-free)
• Production-ready Gerber, drill, and pick-and-place files generated from the replica design
• Simple BOM pulled from the original documentation (no substitutions)
• PDF plots of each layer for quick visual cross-check
Acceptance criteria
– I can run the Gerbers through JLCPCB’s or PCBWay’s viewer with zero DRC or drill errors.
– Silkscreen, copper, and hole placement align when the new PDF plots are overlaid on the scanned original.
If you have experience reverse-engineering or redrawing classic hobby boards, this should be a straightforward task. I’ll provide the legacy files immediately after we start so you can jump right in.
