2-Layer PCB Design for DMX512 Controller (Arduino Nano, TM1637, PCA9685, Relays, PIR) — KiCad

Description:
I’m looking for an experienced PCB designer (KiCad preferred) to create a complete schematic and 2-layer PCB for a compact DMX512 controller board. The board must support DMX send and receive, provide galvanic isolation for the DMX line, and connect multiple external modules using JST-XH 2.54 mm connectors.

I already have working prototypes and a verified schematic for the DMX communication circuit, which can be used as a reference. I can also provide detailed information about all external modules (display, servo board, relay modules, PIR sensor) and any mechanical or connector constraints.

The controller will host an Arduino Nano (ATmega328P, USB) on pin headers. RX/TX jumpers must be included to allow programming without removing the Nano.

Key requirements / features

DMX IN / OUT based on common Arduino DMX shield topology using an RS-485 transceiver (e.g. SN75176 or equivalent). Include optional 120 Ω termination and failsafe resistors.

Galvanic isolation for the DMX bus using a small isolated DC/DC (e.g. B0505 type) and an optocoupler for RX (e.g. 6N137). DMX side must have isolated VISO / GNDISO area separate from logic GND.

Display: 4-digit TM1637 module via JST-XH 4 header (CLK, DIO, +5 V, GND). Two push buttons (UP/DOWN) via JST-XH 2 headers; also optional on-board footprint.

Servo control: interface for a PCA9685 16-channel PWM/servo board (I²C SDA/SCL + power/GND) on JST-XH header. Servos and relay modules are powered from a high-current external 5 V rail.

Up to two 5 V relay modules (optically isolated types) via JST headers (+5 V, GND, INx).

PIR sensor input via JST-XH 3 (V, GND, OUT).

Power architecture: single external 5 V input via screw terminal. Two branches — (1) high-current branch with polyfuse and bulk capacitors; (2) filtered logic branch with ferrite bead and decoupling caps. The isolated DC/DC is powered from the logic branch for the DMX transceiver. USB/external 5 V selection via jumper or ideal diode. GNDISO and logic GND remain fully isolated.

All external modules must be pluggable via JST-XH connectors with clear silkscreen labels.

Board should use mainly THT parts (DIP ICs, THT passives), include mounting holes and test points for +5 V, GND, VISO, GNDISO, RX, TX.
