PCB Design Help. STM32. Trouble with EMI susceptibility in noisy environments.
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 AUD
I need a PCB design expert to help me with a project involving an STM32 device. My device needs to function reliably in a noisy environment, so it's quite important that I ensure it's highly resistant to EMI interference.
I understand that there are potential sources of interference in my device's environment, and I need to take this into account. Since physical shielding isn't an option, I need a PCB design that includes effective shielding and suppression on the board itself.
In short, I need a PCB design expert who can incorporate effective noise suppression into the next iteration of my device, to ensure it can handle the potential sources of interference in its environment. If successful, this should make my device much more reliable in such a noisy environment.
The current version of the PCB has been successful in its application, and we could just do another run the same. But we are currently hiding the EMI issues through software resets of peripheral devices quite often. The next version of the pcb requires nothing new or major changes. Hopefully we can just make it more resilient though better routing and extra passive components. The project is currently in the latest version of kicad. We would appreciate it back in this format when it is finished although you can use anything else in the interim. The outputs are opto isolated. But there is quite a long temp probe input [bs18b20]. There is a hd44780 connected through a custom serial backpack. This is most likely the culprit of the current weakness IMO.
It is a 4 layer PCB 180x100mm. Production volume is small so cost of added components is not important. We can provide all current files as well as a BOM used at JLCPCB. We would also welcome advice on part selection or substitution.
Thank you for reading this proposal.
