PCB Design Expert for Sports Tracker

Job ID: 38414764

Budget: €30 – €250 EUR

I'm developing a sports tracker for live broadcasts and need an experienced PCB designer. Your role will involve assisting with component selection, schematic drawing, and PCB design.

Key Responsibilities:
- Help select suitable components: Microcontroller/Processor, RF Modules for Broadcasting, Battery Management, ESD Protection, and Memory.
- Create detailed schematic drawings.
- Design a functional, durable PCB.

Ideal Candidate:
- Proficient in PCB design and schematic drawing.
- Experienced with selecting components for low power consumption.
- Familiar with designing for ESD protection and battery management.
- Able to design for a live broadcasting application.

Skills:
- PCB Design
- Component Selection
- Schematic Drawing
- ESD Protection
- Low Power Design

Project Description:
The planned sports tracker should be able to transmit current position data, altitude information, and other measurements via LoRa and cellular communication. If there is no communication or GNSS connection available, directional changes, speed, and distance should be recorded using the built-in sensors and stored locally on the tracker. Once the GNSS connection is reestablished, this data will be used to update the position.

Using an eCompass, directional changes can be detected more quickly. The collected information will be sent as a packet once the communication link is restored.

The trackers should be able to communicate with each other to form a mesh network. This allows a tracker that does not have a direct connection to the main receiving station to relay its data through another tracker, thus covering greater distances.

Preferred manufacturers are STMicroelectronics and u-blox (for the GNSS receiver).

If you can help create a high-performance, low power sports tracker PCB, I look forward to your proposal.
