PCB Component Revision & Testing
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I have an existing board that works, but a new specification requires several components to be replaced and physically shifted to free space for a daughter-board. I’ll provide the current schematic, layout (Altium files and Gerbers), and the updated BOM. Your task is to revise the layout so the new parts fit comfortably, move any affected components to maintain good signal integrity, and keep trace lengths and impedances within tolerance.
Once the design is updated, I need you to run a quick DRC, generate fresh Gerbers, and prepare the files for a pilot run—ideally with a small batch order so we can electrically test before committing to full production. If you have links to a preferred fab/assembly house, feel free to suggest them.
Deliverables
• Updated schematic and PCB files
• Clean DRC report and Gerber/NC drill set ready for manufacture
• Updated BOM and pick-and-place file
• A short test plan outlining checks for the first assembled boards
Please highlight similar board spins you’ve done and the CAD tools you’re most comfortable with; proven experience will decide the hire.
