Multi-Microcontroller Breakout Board Design
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I'm looking for an experienced electronics designer to create a versatile multi-microcontroller breakout board. The board should support the Heltec Wireless Stick V2 & V3, Adafruit Feather ESP32-S3 TFT, and LilyGO T-Display S3 OLED, while maintaining consistent pinouts for external peripherals.
I want someone who can collaborate with me to work out the best option. I am an experienced PCB designer but don't have the free time to do this myself.
Key Requirements:
- Design a breakout board compatible with multiple microcontrollers OR multiple footprint identical breakout boards that accept the different microcontrollers.
- Ensure consistent pinouts for easy peripheral integration.
- Support for a variety of sensors: temperature, motion, light, rotary encoders, I2C, SPI devices, and radio modules.
- Include interfaces for I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN communication protocols.
- match GPIO designations where possible.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Strong background in electronics design and PCB layout.
- Experience with microcontroller integration and peripheral interfacing.
- Proficiency in designing for I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN protocols.
- Familiarity with Heltec, Adafruit, and LilyGO microcontroller platforms.
- Ability to deliver a robust and flexible design that meets the specified requirements.
Additional:
- include an external 3v and 5v regulator that can be enabled and disabled, these need to accept 5 to 30v
- include a USB C port for external UART that can also provide power to the board.
- all GPIO are to be on pluggable terminal blocks to allow easy disconnection of the breakout board.
- LED to indicate 3v and 5v state.
- two terminal blocks for source power ( two +/- blocks )
- provide the source project files and all necessary documentation to have this manufactured and populated.
- silkscreen the breakout board with the GPIO Id's and the pin functions
