I have an application where I need to read a very small voltage signal (0-5v) conveyed on a very long cable (10,000mts), this same line is used to send high voltage pulses to trigger some devices on the other side of the cable. I need to be able to read the small signal voltage, and the current flowing through the line, without destroying the device.
I need a custom PCB to act as a filter with the following characteristics:
- Analog signal 0-5V, up to 500hz, this signal will be read by a separate circuit.
- Signal line is subject to continuous transients of up to 600vdc
- Max current seen by the line is 10 amp
The input of the PCB is a line and a ground.
the output of the PCB is voltage signal (never more than 5vdc) and current signal converted to voltage (never more than 5vdc)
I can provide separately power supply (12VDC-24VDC) to power the filter if needed.
