Design Simple 24V AC-DC Converter

I already have the core parts on hand—two 5 mm 2-way pluggable terminal connectors, a 3510 bridge rectifier, four 4 700 µF / 35 V* electrolytic capacitors, a single 480 Ω or 2.2 kΩ 1 W resistor (we’ll pick whichever best sets the LED current once we confirm the DC rail), and a 5 mm indicator LED. What I need from you is a clean, dependable AC-to-DC power-supply design that delivers a regulated 24 V output.

Here’s what I expect:
• A clear schematic showing the full rectification, smoothing, and regulation stages that make best use of the components above
• Component value checks and any minor additions (for example, bleeder resistor, snubber, or simple linear regulator stage) to keep ripple and heat within safe limits
• Brief notes on selecting between the 480 Ω and 2.2 kΩ resistor for the LED indicator based on the final DC level
• Guidance on transformer secondary voltage and current rating so I can source the right iron core unit locally
• If you work in KiCad, Eagle, or Altium, please also drop the project file so I can spin a small PCB; otherwise, a neat PDF schematic is fine

Acceptance criteria:
1. Output voltage stays within 24 V ±5 % under 75 % load.
2. No component exceeds its rated voltage or power dissipation in continuous operation.
3. Documentation is clear enough for me to build and test the supply without follow-up questions.
