Debug Overheating Charge Board PCB

Job ID: 39933305

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I designed a small charge-control board in EasyEDA around the FM5324GA. Although the layout functions, it overheats and the output droops instead of a steady 5 V @ 1 A, which is critical for its role in a compact consumer-electronics product.

What I’ve done so far
• Swapped several capacitors and a few inductors for higher-value parts—this temporarily cured the issue, then reappeared on the next fabrication run.

What I need from you
• Review the existing EasyEDA schematic and PCB files.
• Identify the root causes of the thermal rise and voltage sag.
• Propose and document corrections—component selection, trace widths, copper pours, layout tweaks, or compensation network changes.
• Deliver an updated EasyEDA project and a brief report so I can order a new prototype with confidence.

A quick, targeted fix from an experienced power-electronics engineer should put this board back on track.
