Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR

The hardware circuit design and hardware implementation of a 2nd stage voltage adder cell (VAC) integrated with a classical DC–DC boost converter using a SiC MOSFET switch (prototype). The converter is designed to operate with an input voltage of up to 100 V. The proposed non-isolated topology incorporates a dynamic duty-cycle-dependent VAC consisting of an inductor, two capacitors, and a diode. When embedded within a boost-derived structure, the VAC delivers additional energy to the output during the OFF state of the switch, leading to a progressive increase in voltage gain.

Some of the important observations in this work include the voltage stress across the passive components, the output performance of the converter—especially its ability to achieve a higher voltage gain and the thermal behavior of the system, ensuring that the temperature remains within 40 °C during operation.
