Compact Control Panel PCB Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have already worked out the detailed mechanical layout for a very small control panel that sits inside a tubular enclosure. At its heart are two single-pole, eight-position rotary switches that will handle device control signals, a 1 A fuse block, a 1 A charging connector, a terminal block, and a USB-C port. Because space is tight the electronics must be split across two round boards, each only 1.25 in (≈ 32 mm) in diameter, with a short interconnect cable running between them and on to the rest of the assembly.
What I need from you is the complete electrical design package so the boards can go straight to fabrication and assembly. The operating temperature peaks at 85 °C, so every component, connector, fuse holder and cable spec has to meet or exceed that rating.
Deliverables
• Clean, production-ready schematics and Gerber/ODB++ files for both boards (Altium, KiCad or Eagle are all fine)
• A fully populated BOM with manufacturer part numbers, sourcing links and individual data sheets for every item, including the rotary switches and USB-C receptacle
• Assembly drawings and a concise cable specification that details conductor count, gauge, shielding and jacket material to suit the thermal requirement
• Any stack-up notes or special fabrication instructions the board house should follow
If you spot simplifications that keep the footprint small while retaining all device-control functions, feel free to suggest them; otherwise follow my existing layout exactly. Once I approve the documents the project is finished—no programming or firmware is involved.
