Op-Amp Neuron SPICE Simulation

Job ID: 40051557

Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR

I need a compact yet faithful SPICE-level model of a single artificial neuron built with operational amplifiers. The goal is to show how the electrical signal flows and transforms—so the simulation must capture realistic gain behaviour as well as the frequency response of the op-amp stage(s).

I am happy for you to work in either LTspice or SIMetrix; please choose whichever package lets you move fastest. A single neuron is enough, but the circuit should be structured so it can be chained later for multi-layer work.

Deliverables
• Complete schematic file and any sub-circuits or libraries used
• A brief note (PDF or plain text) explaining component choices, how gain and bandwidth were tuned, and how the transfer curve maps to a neuron’s activation step
• Simulation plots that demonstrate:
 1. Small-signal gain across the intended frequency band
 2. Time-domain response to a representative input pulse

Acceptance Criteria
• The AC analysis shows the designed gain within ±5 % of your target value.
• −3 dB bandwidth is clearly indicated in the frequency plot.
• Time-domain plot reaches steady state without unrealistic artefacts.

If you can meet those points, feel free to start with your favourite op-amp macro-model or build a discrete equivalent—whichever best balances realism and clarity.
