4 Amp Industrial LED Boost Driver

Job ID: 40471501

Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR

I need a robust constant-current boost converter that can feed constant 4 Amp to my industrial LED string of 12 LEDs each having forward voltage 3.2V.

The supply on site is 24 V nominal but can dip to 16 V or climb to 32 V, so the design has to hold regulation across that entire window without flicker, overshoot, or thermal runaway.

The driver will live inside a harsh factory enclosure where reliability and efficiency matter more than absolute cost. I expect sensible EMI behaviour, soft-start, open- and short-LED protection, thermal shutdown and, if practical, analogue or PWM dimming so I can integrate it into an existing control loop.

Please base component choices on parts that are currently in distribution (Mouser, Digi-Key or similar) and keep footprints to something a standard Single Layer Metal Core Aluminium PCB can handle; a few jumpers are permitted.

Deliverables
• Schematic with design calculations showing how the 4 A constant current is derived across 16-32 V input
• BOM with manufacturer part numbers and availability notes
• PCB layout files (Altium, KiCad, or Eagle) plus Gerbers and assembly drawing
• Basic simulation plots or bench data demonstrating start-up, line/load regulation, efficiency and thermal profile
• Brief build guide so my in-house techs can assemble and test a first prototype

The work is complete when the documentation is clear enough that we can order boards, populate them, and verify 4 A constant current operation in the lab without further tweaks.
