Playa del Carmen Vlog Series
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m putting together an ongoing video series that captures the energy of Playa del Carmen and need a skilled storyteller on the ground to bring it to life. The format is vlog-style: think immersive, first-person footage that makes viewers feel like they’re right here with us—walking the beach, chatting with artisans, sampling street tacos, and exploring hidden cenotes.
What I want to see on camera
• Travel experiences: day trips, beach life, nightlife, cenotes, jungle parks—anything that shows why people fall in love with this region.
• Local culture and traditions: festivals, music, art, Mayan heritage, everyday life beyond the tourist strip.
• Food and restaurants: market stalls, high-end spots, cooking classes, chef interviews; the full culinary range.
How you’ll work
You’ll shoot and edit each episode end-to-end. Bring your DSLR or mirrorless kit, gimbal, lapel mics, maybe a drone for those sweeping coastline shots—whatever helps you capture crisp imagery and clean audio. Good color grading and sound design are important because I want a polished YouTube-ready final file, plus the separate thumbnail image and subtitle track.
Deliverables (per episode)
1. 8–12 minute finished vlog (1080p or 4K MP4)
2. Up to 60-second vertical teaser for Reels/TikTok
3. Exported SRT subtitles
4. All raw footage on cloud drive for archival
I’ll provide a rough shot list and story arc for each outing, but I’m counting on your local insight and improvisation to keep things authentic. If you live in or can easily travel to Playa del Carmen and have a portfolio of engaging vlogs, let’s talk about scheduling the first shoot and building a consistent release cadence.
