Mysterious Family Film Trailer
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I’m looking for an experienced trailer editor to cut a polished, cinema-ready preview for my upcoming family-comedy-drama. Although the story is warm and heartfelt at its core, I want the trailer itself to lean into a mysterious, suspenseful tone that leaves viewers intrigued about the twists ahead.
What to emphasize
• Humor and light-hearted comedy beats
• Key family bonding moments that show heart
• Select dramatic, suspenseful, and emotional scenes that hint at deeper stakes
Scope of work
– Shape a tight 60–90 second narrative arc that balances laughs with tension.
– Craft pacing and rhythm that build intrigue while still letting the comedic timing land.
– Integrate music and SFX to heighten suspense.
– Possibly add stylish titles, lower thirds, and a clean end card with release info if agreed upon.
– Possibly perform basic VFX if necessary.
– Mix dialogue, score, and effects so every beat is clear on both cinema speakers and online platforms.
Deliverables
1. Master trailer in 1080p (or higher) in ProRes and H.264 formats
2. Separate text-less version for future localization
3. Layered project file (DaVinci Resolve preferred)
4. A 15 second social teaser cut from the main trailer
