Experimental Cinematic Short Visual Collaborator Needed

Job ID: 40456129

Budget: $250 – $750 AUD

Experimental Cinematic Visual Project – Seeking One Creative Collaborator (Sydney)

I’m creating a short atmospheric visual piece (90 sec – 2 min) focused on pressure, eruption, underground tension, and psychological atmosphere.

This is not a traditional short film with dialogue or actors.

The objective is to create a visually controlled, cinematic proof-of-concept that feels emotionally real, expandable, and industry-facing.

The finished piece will be privately circulated online to selected directors, creatives, and industry contacts in NYC and Los Angeles as part of a larger long-term project.

Looking for ONE collaborator with strong instincts in areas such as:

cinematography
editing
sound design
motion graphics
compositing
experimental visual work

The production approach is intentionally lean:

minimal crew footprint
practical shooting
texture-driven imagery
atmospheric sound design
symbolic eruption imagery instead of expensive VFX

Visual direction includes:

Sydney night streets
cracks / steam / concrete textures
heat distortion
red light leaks
pressure-building sound
fragmented montage imagery

Influence references:
experimental cinema, industrial atmosphere, psychological tension, elevated trailer aesthetics, analog texture work.

Ideal for someone wanting to help build:

a strong Vimeo piece
cinematic portfolio material
visually ambitious work with clear tone and identity

Likely 1–2 days shooting with a compact workflow.

If interested, send:

Strong aesthetic instinct matters more than credits or gear.
