Creative Video Editor Needed for Book and Film YouTube Channel (Long-term)
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I am building a YouTube channel around book reviews, film reflections, and thoughtful recommendations, with occasional documentary-style videos.
I am not looking for an editor who only follows instructions. I am looking for someone who can think creatively, suggest ideas, and help shape the final edit with better flow, pacing, and mood.
I will handle writing, ideas, and shooting the footage.
The editor’s role is to elevate the content through editing choices and creative input.
This is a collaborative role, not spoon-feeding.
⸻
Who should apply
You are a good fit if:
• You enjoy books, films, or documentaries
• You think about rhythm, pauses, and emotional impact while editing
• You have some interest in cinematography or visual storytelling
• You are comfortable discussing ideas and suggesting improvements
• You prefer clean, intentional edits over flashy effects
Taste and thinking matter more than years of experience.
⸻
Project details
• Short book recommendation videos (30–60 seconds)
• Long-form YouTube videos (8–15 minutes)
• Occasional documentary-style edits
• Ongoing work after a paid trial edit
Budget is flexible and will be discussed based on experience and involvement.
⸻
How to apply
Please include:
1. 2–3 work samples that show storytelling or mood
2. A short note on how you approach editing a talking-head video
3. Optional: a book, film, or documentary that influences your visual sense
Applications that show thought will be prioritised.
