Cinematograph 5-8 Minute short Film

Job ID: 39903563

Budget: ₹600 – ₹5,000 INR

I have a completed script that runs between five and eight minutes and now need a cinematographer who can turn it into a finished short. The piece leans heavily on tragic realism—largely silent, intentionally slow, and emotionally weighty—so every frame, lighting choice, and camera movement has to carry the story.

Nearly all of the action takes place indoors in a modest apartment; only two very brief shots step outside to hint at the surrounding city. Locations are secured, but I’m relying on you to decide how we light, frame, and move through these spaces to keep the mood muted and raw.

I don’t have fixed visual references, leaving you room to shape the look. What I imagine is soft, naturalistic light, gentle or still camera work, and a desaturated grade that underscores the bleak tone—yet I’m open to your ideas if they serve the story.

Here’s what I need from you:
• Pre-production input—shot list, lighting plan, and schedule
• Principal photography (one- to two-day shoot) with your own camera and lighting kit
• Post: picture edit, colour grade, and a basic sound mix (mostly ambience and foley, as dialogue is minimal)
• Final deliverables: a 4K master and a 1080p web-ready file, plus all raw footage

If understated visuals, careful storytelling, and economical production excite you, let’s discuss how to make this short film resonate on screen.
