Alaska Adventure Documentary Pilot Filming
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
My pilot episode follows real-life adventures and expeditions deep inside Alaska’s Arctic Circle Region. The goal is to capture the raw spirit of travel north of the tree line—remote trails, ice-locked rivers, night skies, and the people who brave them—for a broadcast-ready documentary TV series.
The shoot will be entirely on location. I need high-quality cinematic footage that conveys scale and atmosphere: sweeping establishers at dawn and dusk, steady action coverage during treks and river crossings, and crisp natural sound that lets viewers feel the bite of the wind. Lightweight drone work, gimbal shots from snow machines, and run-and-gun sequences on foot all have a place here, provided they keep a cohesive visual language.
Deliverables
• 4K master footage (LOG and a basic color-corrected pass)
• Clean location audio synced to picture
• A short assembly or selects reel that shows intended pacing and narrative flow
• Transfer of all raw files with clearly labeled folders and shot lists
Acceptance Criteria
Footage must be steady, properly exposed in polar light, and free of unwanted artifacts (wind wobble, lens frost). Audio should capture dialogue above –50 dB with minimal ambient interference. All material must be logged and handed over within one week of wrap.
Crew size, shooting schedule, and gear list are flexible so long as they serve the above objectives and respect Leave-No-Trace guidelines for the Arctic environment. If you have experience filming in extreme cold and can work self-contained for multiple days north of the Arctic Circle, let’s make this pilot one viewers will remember.
