Abstract Pop Music Video Production

Job ID: 39949298

Budget: £250 – £750 GBP

Hey there! I’m an independent artist looking to collaborate with a videographer or director to create a music video for a vulnerable, emotional pop song. The track has an indie / alternative pop feel — think AJR, Billie Eilish, mxmtoon, or AURORA — and explores mental health, anxiety, and the quiet pressure to “seem fine.”

I’m not looking for anything high-budget or flashy — I want something simple, cinematic, and emotionally real. Natural lighting, soft color tones (pale blues, warm neutrals), and storytelling through subtle emotion rather than performance.

I’m a bit camera-shy, so I’m hoping to find someone who’s patient, creative, and comfortable giving gentle direction (“look this way,” “walk here,” “pause here”). The goal is to make something that feels raw, intimate, and visually honest.

What I’m hoping for:
• Help developing the concept / storyboard
• Someone who can direct on set and guide shots
• Simple, minimal setup (DSLR or cinematic phone shooting is fine!)
• Optional: light editing / color grading

Vibe / Aesthetic:
• Soft lighting, emotional realism
• Storytelling through visual metaphor (mirrors, reflection, day/night contrast)
• Cozy, slightly melancholy but hopeful tone

If this sounds like your style, I’d love to connect and see examples of your work!
I’m open to student filmmakers, indie directors, or anyone looking to build a meaningful portfolio piece.
