Performance Testing Expert (LRE, AWS, Kafka, API & UI)

We are looking for an experienced Performance Tester to support our ongoing project. The role involves designing, scripting, executing, and analyzing performance tests for API and UI applications, running on AWS cloud infrastructure. The candidate should have expertise in LoadRunner Enterprise (LRE), monitoring using AWS CloudWatch, and handling event-driven systems that utilize Kafka.

Responsibilities

Design and develop performance test scripts for APIs and UI flows using LRE (LoadRunner Enterprise).

Execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests across different environments.

Integrate test execution and monitoring with AWS CloudWatch for infrastructure and application-level metrics.

Capture and analyze Kafka message flow performance for high-volume event processing.

Identify and report bottlenecks in API response times, UI rendering, Kafka throughput, and AWS resource utilization.

Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and QA teams to provide recommendations and performance tuning suggestions.

Prepare and present detailed performance test reports and dashboards.


Required Skills & Experience

Hands-on experience with LoadRunner Enterprise (LRE) for API and UI performance testing.

Strong knowledge of AWS CloudWatch for monitoring system health, logs, and metrics.

Experience with Apache Kafka performance testing (producers, consumers, throughput, lag, etc.).

Good understanding of API performance testing (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) and UI performance testing (web apps, response times, rendering).

Familiarity with cloud-based environments (AWS preferred).

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for bottleneck analysis (network, DB, services, Kafka, or cloud infra).

Ability to generate detailed performance test reports and recommendations.


Nice to Have

Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated performance test execution.

Knowledge of other monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus).

Exposure to containerized apps (Docker, Kubernetes).

Duration & Engagement

Estimated 3–4 weeks of effort (with possible extension).

Remote work, flexible time zone overlap required.

Engagement type: Freelancer / Contract basis.
Performance test scripts for APIs, UI, and Kafka.

Executed load/stress/endurance test results.

Integrated dashboards from AWS CloudWatch and test reports.

Final report with bottleneck analysis & tuning recommendations.
