Write a story with a given list of words

Job ID: 35428267

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I run an online American Sign Language class. It is for first year ASL students who are just getting started learning the language. As such, they have a very limited number of vocabulary words they know.

Having students review their vocabulary through a creative but simple story instead of blunt memorization will make it more enjoyable.

I have a list of vocabulary words the writer can use to create this story. Once the story is finished, I will take the storyline and translate it into American Sign Language. You write the script, I will use the script and translate into ASL. I know ASL really well, but I struggle to create stories out of a limited vocabulary list. This is where you come in!

Attached are all the vocabulary words they know. Obviously you don't have to use all vocabulary words on the lists, but the more the better. Further, you are allowed to use words like "a", "the", "was" "is", etc.

Using words NOT on the list is acceptable in VERY LIMITED numbers. About 90-95% of the words used in the story MUST be found on the vocabulary list.

By the nature of this task the story will be simple, but I want it to be creative. Freelancers with experience writing children’s books would probably have a the skills needed to make this work well.
