Illustrator for Children's Book - Age 5-8
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am looking for a talented illustrator who can complete a set of colorful illustrations for kids 5-8 years old. This book is about a five-year-old girl who visits a local greenhouse. While there she participates in a dragon scavenger hunt. One of the dragon statues in the gardens comes alive, thus changing from stone to a many colored (rainbow?) dragon, then back to stone again.
While the story will allow a lot of freedom for interpretation by the illustrator, there are a few details that are specific as the greenhouse and dragon hunt are real and the main stone dragon is real. Photos will be provided for reference purposes.
The project scope consists of 25 illustrations plus a cover. One illustration is a two-page spreads, 15 are single page illustrations, and nine are either ½-page or small spots less than ½ page each. Most are full-scene, colorful illustrations of the girl and/or dragon, three-four illustrations may include one or two additional people. Other illustrations would include various dragon statues and/or greenhouse plants.
I’ve attached a sample illustration style below.
These illustrations shall not have been used previously anywhere, nor can they be used in the future. I am requesting copyright/commercial rights. A transfer of copyright agreement will be signed. In addition to the source files, I am requesting original source files and JPEG files for all illustrations for the final submission.

Payments will be released based on set milestones.
