A small problem in optics

This is Vikram currently pursuing my PhD at TU Delft in the field of laser Induced Nucleation. I have a small question related to optics.
I have a laser light with 9 mm diameter, passing through a cylindrical vial with a solution of refractive index of 1.4940. When the laser beam hits the meniscus of the solution horizontally, I want to measure the laser intensity as a function of radius of the vial. The laser beam focuses due to vial and meniscus. Can you help me as you have more experience.
I have successfully estimated when the laser light passes through the bulk of the solution in the middle of the cylindrical vial using ray tracing method. However the laser when it passes through the meniscus is becoming a bit of a challenge.
