module for wastewater treatment process -- 2

This project focus on a description for gas exchange of CO2 and O2 for stripping and aeration, calcium precipitation and filtration. A dynamic description of the iron and manganese precipitation can be added to the process. Based on suitable approaches from literature, a system of equations is to be set up in order to describe the addition of chemicals, the gas exchange and the removal of water compounds and their effects on the water quality. Energy and cost savings as well as the optimisation of the individual treatment stage with regard to maximum water quality with minimum use of chemicals and resources should also to be considered.
