Vibrant EVA Footwear Color Formulation
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I need a colour chemist who can develop bright, eye-catching single-colour formulations for injection-moulded EVA footwear. The end result has to stay vivid even after prolonged UV exposure and repeated flexing, so fade resistance is non-negotiable. Depending on the product line, I will require both mirror-like high-gloss and truly flat matte variants using the same base pigment system, so the formulation should be flexible enough to let us switch finishes by tweaking additives rather than recreating the entire mix each time.
You’ll be working with our standard EVA compound (18–22 % VA, MFI 1.5–2.0 g/10 min) on a twin-screw setup. I can provide current base recipes, processing temperatures and foaming agent ratios; what I need from you is the colour masterbatch design, dispersion guidelines and any stabiliser or coupling recommendations that guarantee colour integrity during expansion and cooling.
Deliverables
• Lab-scale masterbatch formula with pigment loading percentages, carrier selection and additive package for both gloss and matte versions
• Processing sheet detailing screw profile, temperature zones and residence times to secure even dispersion and avoid scorching
• Physical samples or colour chips for approval, matched to our supplied swatch under D65 lighting, ΔE ≤ 1.0
• Final tech sheet summarising light-fastness, migration, and abrasion data (ASTM or ISO methods)
