"I am seeking an experienced freelancer to conduct a simulation for producing sponge iron from iron ore fines (0.8mm to 0.5mm) using reduction by coal and synthesis gas (syn gas). The process involves chemical looping, requiring an understanding of carbonation and calcination of dolomite/limestone for optimizing process parameters. Additionally, hematite will be added in the gasification bed to reduce it to FeO.
Key Requirements:
- Expertise in simulation software like Aspen Plus or similar tools.
- Knowledge of sponge iron production processes, including coal and syn gas reduction mechanisms.
- Proficiency in chemical looping, particularly carbonation and calcination of dolomite/limestone.
- Ability to analyze results, optimize process parameters, and recommend particle resizing adjustments.
Deliverables:
- Comprehensive simulation results.
- Detailed analysis of process parameters with recommendations for optimization, including particle resizing.
Preference will be given to Indian freelancers. Collaboration may include remote screen sharing during the optimization phase."
