Optimize Process Engineering Workflow
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m looking for a skilled chemical engineer with a solid background in process engineering to review, analyse and refine an existing plant-scale workflow. The core objective is to pinpoint performance bottlenecks, model improvements and deliver a clear, data-driven action plan that elevates overall efficiency and reliability.
You’ll receive the current process documentation (PFD, equipment data sheets and operating conditions) as soon as the project starts. From there, I’d like you to:
• Recalculate mass and energy balances to verify baseline performance.
• Build or update a steady-state simulation in Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD or a comparable platform.
• Run sensitivity analyses on key variables (temperature, pressure, flow, recycle rates) and highlight the optimal operating window.
• Recommend equipment tweaks or debottlenecking steps, backed by quantitative justification.
• Summarise findings in a concise technical report and supply editable files for all models created.
Familiarity with industry safety standards (HAZOP/LOPA) and experience translating simulation results into real-world equipment adjustments will help the work progress smoothly. If you also bring expertise in separation or heat-transfer sub-processes, that breadth will be a plus.
Please share a brief note on comparable optimisation projects you’ve handled and the main tools you used. I’m ready to kick off as soon as the right engineer comes aboard and will be available for quick feedback throughout the engagement.
