Metals Fate Prediction in Aquatic Environments
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
You may consider any metal and aquatic system of interest and survey existing Eh, pH, ionic strength and any other parameters as per the requirements of the aquatic system. Imagine there is a sudden increase in the metal concentration due to geogenic or anthropogenic activity. Explain the fate of the metal by calculating the activity and saturation index and plot the appropriate speciation diagrams. Assume that there are no other solid phases (clays and other minerals) in the system.
The assignment should include the references from where the parameters were taken from. Detailed calculations of the parameters (activity coefficient, etc.) and other diagrams are made, including the conclusions explaining the fate of the metal.
Important: The data of the parameters should be taken from original research of the aquatic system under study. It should not be imaginary.
