Lucknow Microfluidic Device Engineer

Job ID: 40476737

Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

I’m refining a microfluidic point-of-care diagnostic that our chemistry team has developed, but the current rig still drifts far too much between runs. I need a chemical engineer who lives in or can easily commute to Lucknow to work directly with us in the lab, troubleshoot the flow architecture, and raise the analytical accuracy to the target level.

You’ll be free to pull out COMSOL, SolidWorks, or whatever CFD and CAD tools you prefer; what matters is that you can spot where mixing, diffusion, or surface fouling is robbing precision and then deliver workable hardware or process tweaks. Once the prototype is behaving, we’ll run replicate assays together to confirm the improved repeatability.

Please attach examples of past work on lab-on-a-chip, diagnostic cartridges, or any micro-scale fluid handling systems so I can gauge how quickly you’ll slot into our setup.

Key deliverables:
• Revised design files (CAD/gerber or equivalent) reflecting the accuracy improvements
• A brief validation report summarizing test conditions, results, and recommendations for scale-up
• On-site knowledge transfer so the chemists can maintain the upgraded device independently

1. Microfluidics / diagnostic device engineer

* lateral flow assays
* capillary flow systems
* paper microfluidics
* point-of-care diagnostics
* medical cartridge design
* porous media flow

These engineers specialise in exactly the issues you’re seeing:

* uneven wetting
* bypass flow
* timing consistency
* fluid control in porous structures
* manufacturing tolerances

A lot of your challenges are essentially “rapid diagnostic cartridge” problems.

Relevant industries:

* rapid antigen tests
* glucose strips
* blood diagnostics
* water testing kits

If you thrive on hands-on problem solving and love getting prototypes to hit their spec, let’s talk and schedule your first lab day.
