Latex Lining Process Development and Optimization
Budget: $15 – $25 AUD
I'm in need of a Chemical Engineer specializing in Polymer Chemistry, Process Optimization, and Material Testing to support the development of a specialized latex lining process.
Key Project Requirements:
- Expertise in Polymer Chemistry: You'll be tasked with understanding the chemistry of the product, specifically the elements that most significantly influence curing duration.
- Process Optimization Focus: The primary goal of this project is to enhance production efficiency. A key aspect of this is the amount of time it takes for the pre vulcanised latex we use to cover our product. Currently this is can take up 5 days to reach a stable state. We take other steps to ensure any instability in the product does not affect the product the customer receives. Understanding how we can finalise the curing process as quickly as possible is the essential outcome of this project.
- Material Testing Skills: It will be essential to test the materials used to ensure they meet the stringent quality standards required for the project.
Expected Timeline:
The project needs to be completed within 1-3 months. This requires a proactive, efficient, and experienced chemical engineer capable of delivering results within this time frame.
We expect the solution may be identified more quickly however are allowing this period in the event this amount of time is required.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Experience with latex lining or manufacturing processes is essential. Previous experience in surgical glove, rubber catheter or such application is mandatory.
- Strong background in Polymer Chemistry and Material Testing
- Demonstrated success in process optimization within a manufacturing environment
