Identifying plastics / polymers suitable for rifle stocks

Hi,
I am looking for someone who can help me identify the names (and characteristics) of plastics used in rifle stocks. E.g. I am aware of carbon fibre and glass fiber stocks but what other plastics are used?
I would strongly prefer to use assistance of someone with chemical background.
