I am in the middle of a master’s thesis that investigates how elastomers can be pushed to perform reliably in the harsh, high-temperature and high-pressure environments typical of oil and gas operations. My focus is strictly on applications—everything from seals to packers—so I need well-supported, application-driven insights rather than general polymer theory.

What I need help with
• A thorough, up-to-date literature review on elastomer behaviour under extreme conditions (thermal cycling, aggressive fluids, mechanical stress).
• Critical analysis that compares existing material grades and highlights performance gaps in downhole or subsea service.
• Recommendations for formulation tweaks or design strategies that could mitigate swelling, compression set, or chemical attack.
• Clear, logically structured chapters written in academic English, fully referenced (APA or a comparable style), and delivered in editable Word format so I can integrate my own experimental data later.

Acceptance criteria
1. Each chapter must cite peer-reviewed sources published within the last ten years unless the work is foundational.
