The assignment centres on analysing an existing operation, identifying technical gaps, and formulating a sound, data-driven solution. You will review the available lab and plant data, run mass- and energy-balance calculations, select suitable unit operations, and turn the analysis into an actionable implementation roadmap.
Deliverables
• Technical brief (3-5 pages) detailing problem definition, methodology, calculations, and assumptions
• Optimisation or design recommendation backed by simulations or hand calculations
• Presentation deck (≤10 slides) summarising findings for management
Acceptance criteria
The documents must reference current Pakistani regulations or internationally recognised standards, show clear step-by-step calculations, and include native calculation files (Excel, Aspen Plus, MATLAB, etc.) that run without proprietary add-ins.
