Our objective is to revamp the current syllabus search system at Waseda University in Japan. The system has remained largely unchanged since 2012, which makes searching for courses a cumbersome process for students. We believe there is significant scope for improvement and optimization, specifically through the implementation of AI technologies like OpenAI's ChatGPT.

As an institution equivalent to the prestige of UCLA in the United States, Waseda University has a strong commitment to providing an effective and efficient learning environment for its students. One of the key aspects of this commitment is facilitating a smooth course selection process. Given the rapid advancements in AI and machine learning, we believe now is the opportune time to utilize these technologies to enhance our existing system.
**Skills and Experience Required:**
The freelancer should have experience with AI technologies, specifically OpenAI's ChatGPT. Understanding of natural language processing (NLP) and its application for text search and information retrieval is crucial. Familiarity with Japanese language and education systems would be advantageous, though not a necessity.
**Schedule:**
We're aiming to have an improved system in place for the next academic year, so we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible. We are flexible with the timeline and understand that quality work takes time.
